Role

In 2022, I worked with Immersa as a Product Designer. My role was to iterate and present new ways to improve Immersa's data management products. I worked with the team to streamline connecting and observing data from many sources. The team I worked with grew rapidly, but originally consisted of a product manager, a few engineers, and myself.

Problems

How does the user ensure that their data is connected and telling the truth?

  • Data can be complex and inaccurate, what is the most efficient way to check it's integrity?
  • There are many places where you can find duplicate entries and errors without clarity on how to fix it.
  • Less technical users wanted an experience where the data about their company is easy to access and share.

Solutions

I Set up an onboarding experience that leads the user through connecting & validating their data through different channels.

  • We focused on getting users started as quickly and cleanly as possible.
  • Once the user completes the initial onboarding, we begin using event-triggered modals to guide the user toward fixing data entries with patterns, establish entities, etc.
